Noida Airport Partners With Mann Fleet For Ground Transport
The contract encompasses rental car services, premium pick-up and drop-off facilities at arrival and departure kerbs to minimise walking distances, and the operation, management and maintenance of internal shuttle services. It will include management arrangements for bus services within the airport campus and measures to ensure reliability and safety. Mann Fleet will be responsible for delivering a scalable, customer-centred mobility ecosystem to support passenger experience and staff movements.
The mobility plan will facilitate connectivity between the airport and regional points including Pari Chowk, Botanical Garden and Greater Noida West, with additional routes to be developed in due course. The airport indicated that the integrated framework builds on recent agreements with Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Delhi Transport Corporation, Haryana Roadways and Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. The aim is to ensure smooth regional access once the airport becomes operational.
The Noida International Airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, under a public-private partnership model. The project first phase spans around 1,300 hectares with one runway and a terminal building. The complete scheme, once finished across four phases, will cover nearly 5,000 hectares and will make it India's largest airport in terms of area.
Passenger operations were initially scheduled for September 2024 and are now expected to begin in the near future, with no revised inauguration date announced by the government. The airport stated that high quality ground transport is fundamental to a world-class passenger experience and that the partnership with Mann Fleet will contribute to reliable, efficient and safe mobility. Mann Fleet noted its intention to deploy India's largest premium mobility fleet and to leverage its expertise in large-scale operations to support NIA's long-term growth.
