The agreement also covers the operation, management and maintenance of bus shuttle services within the airport campus and plans for services linking the airport with key regional points such as Pari Chowk, Botanical Garden and Greater Noida West. Additional routes are to be planned in the future as demand is assessed. The new mobility services are expected to complement recent agreements with state and regional transport corporations to enhance ground connectivity.
NIA's chief executive described seamless and efficient ground transportation as fundamental to delivering a world-class passenger experience and said the partnership with Mann Fleet would further the airport's dedication to providing diverse, reliable mobility solutions. Mann Fleet's managing director highlighted the firm's large premium mobility fleet and experience in large-scale operations and said the objective is to build a scalable, customer-centric mobility ecosystem that enhances the passenger experience and supports NIA's long-term growth. The airport authority said the framework aims to ensure smooth regional access once operations begin.
The Noida International Airport, being developed in Jewar under a public-private partnership, is being delivered by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, with the first phase spanning around 1,300 hectares and comprising one runway and a terminal building. Once completed across four phases it will cover nearly 5,000 hectares, making it India's largest airport in terms of area. Passenger operations, which were initially scheduled for September 2024, are now expected to begin in the near future pending a government announcement on the revised inauguration schedule.
