From July 2022, the newly constructed multi-story parking lot at Lohegaon airport is planned to be open to the public.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is working on several infrastructure projects at the airport, including a new terminal building construction.

Currently, AAI Pune has leased an open plot of land near the airport's entry gate with the capacity to park 100 automobiles and a large number of two-wheelers.

The new parking lot is being built in response to increased passenger traffic and daily airline operations.

The Pune airport extension project calls for the construction of a new terminal building of Rs 400 crores, a multilevel vehicle parking structure worth Rs 120 crores, and a new cargo complex worth Rs 300 crores.

On the eastern side of the present terminal building, a 40,000 sq m plot is being developed for a new terminal building.

Santosh Doke, Pune airport director, told the media that AAI built the four-story parking lot near the airport entry gate.

According to the residents, a dedicated parking area was absent. Now, those who drop off or pick up passengers will be able to park and wait in the new area.
