On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the first runway of the Noida International Airport under construction in Jewar is expected to be completed by the year's end. The Noida International Airport, which is considered a significant project for the BJP, is set to become the world's fourth-largest and Asia's largest upon completion.

While inaugurating a flight service between Lucknow and Varanasi, Yogi mentioned, Ayodhya's airport is anticipated to be operational by November-December this year. Similarly, the first runway of the Jewar airport is also expected to be ready by the end of this year.

Highlighting the airport's progress, BJP MLA Dhirendra Singh expressed that construction is proceeding rapidly. He emphasized that the airport's development will not only contribute to the economy of Greater Noida but also benefit the entire Uttar Pradesh region.

"The construction at the airport site is progressing swiftly. The environment of security and safety provided by the government has facilitated the smooth execution of the airport's construction. This airport will have a positive impact on the economy of not only Greater Noida but also the entire western part of Uttar Pradesh," stated the BJP MLA representing Jewar.

In 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Noida International Airport in Jewar. Spanning 1,334 acres, the Noida International Airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swiss concessionaire Zurich International Airport AG.
