Ahead of Himachal polls, Modi lays stone of development projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development works and laid foundation stones worth over Rs 36.50 billion in Himachal Pradesh just days before assembly elections, including AIIMS Bilaspur, for which he laid the foundation stone. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur at Kothipura will usher in a new era of quality healthcare services in the hilly state. Along with BJP President JP Nadda, who was instrumental in establishing the premier health institution in his hometown, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, among others, Modi inaugurated a slew of development projects from the Luhnu ground in Bilaspur, about 130 km from the state capital, before addressing a large public gathering.
