Atlantaa Inks Rs 24.9 Billion Deal For Maharashtra Expressway

Atlantaa Limited (formerly Altanta Limited) announced on 30 September that it has entered into an agreement with IRCON International Limited for the construction of the Bhandara–Gadchiroli Access Controlled Expressway in Maharashtra.
The project, awarded under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode, involves Package BG-03, covering the stretch from km 34+750 at Sarandi Bk in Lakhandur, Bhandara district, to km 69+536 at Kinhi in Bramhapuri, Chandrapur district, spanning a total length of 34.786 kilometres.
The sub-contract is valued at approximately Rs 24.9 billion, excluding applicable GST. The agreement was signed in anticipation of the official project award by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) to IRCON, which was declared the L-1 bidder following all legal and tendering processes.
Atlantaa stated that further disclosures will be made once MSRDC officially awards the project to IRCON.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), shares of Atlantaa Ltd closed at Rs 38.87, up 1.01 per cent, while IRCON International Ltd shares ended at Rs 171.55, rising 1.21 per cent.
The expressway is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Bhandara and Gadchiroli, enhancing regional trade and mobility in eastern Maharashtra.
