According to city MP and BJP leader Aparajita Sarangi, the Centre has approved road projects for the Bhubaneswar constituency worth almost Rs 60 billion. A ring road, 29 vehicle underpasses, nine flyovers, and three-foot over bridges are among the projects, according to Sarangi. She expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for sanctioning the projects, noting that the ring road project alone is worth Rs 52 billion. She added several of the vehicle underpasses and flyover projects have been finished, while work on others is still ongoing, after reviewing the projects with the NHAI authorities.

Three foot-over-bridge (FOB) projects at Nayapalli, Palasuni, and Satsang Vihar have a December 2023 deadline. The FOBs at Nayapalli and Satsang Vihar have already had agreements inked, while the one at Palasuni will be handled through a separate tender, the MP said. Similar to this, 60% of the car subway project at AIIMS Bhubaneswar is finished, and the other 40% must be finished by June 30. The Rs 235 million Sansapal (Naharkanta) flyover must be finished by December 2023. She added, "I am also pursuing the ESI Medical College problem with the relevant authorities.”
