Centre approves road project for Uttarakhand

The Central Government has approved a Rs.7.20 billion road connectivity and traffic safety project for Uttarakhand’s Dehradun district, ANI reported via X. The initiative covers upgrades to the Dehradun–Lal Tappar–Nepali Farm stretch of NH-7 and Nepali Farm–Motichur section of NH-34, spanning 36.82 km. The project includes grade separation at junctions, new service roads, and separation of local and highway traffic to improve safety and reduce congestion. This development is expected to ease connectivity between Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh and improve access to the Char Dham Yatra route.
