The Central Government has approved a Rs.7.20 billion road
connectivity and traffic safety project for Uttarakhand’s Dehradun
district, ANI reported via X. The initiative covers upgrades to the
Dehradun–Lal Tappar–Nepali Farm stretch of NH-7 and Nepali
Farm–Motichur section of NH-34, spanning 36.82 km. The project
includes grade separation at junctions, new service roads, and
separation of local and highway traffic to improve safety and reduce
congestion. This development is expected to ease connectivity
between Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh and improve access to
the Char Dham Yatra route.
