Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, in a virtual inauguration ceremony, unveiled a significant infrastructure project on Monday?a six-lane overbridge located at Madhapar Chokdi in Rajkot. This overbridge is expected to play a pivotal role in alleviating traffic congestion not only within Rajkot city but also along the crucial routes connecting Jamnagar and Morbi.

During his address at the event, Chief Minister Patel disclosed that the government has allocated a substantial budget of Rs 20,600 crore for the Roads and Buildings Department this year. He emphasized that the newly inaugurated overbridge will significantly enhance the transportation experience for industrial vehicles and travelers heading to Rajkot, Jamnagar, and Morbi. This enhancement will translate into smoother and more efficient journeys, free from the woes of traffic congestion.

An official statement further detailed that a budget of Rs 2,800 crore has been designated for the four-laning of highways across the state and for the upgrading of roads in major urban centers.
