Construction of 1st public transport ropeway in Kashi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for the construction of a ropeway in Kashi, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24. According to sources, this will be the third ropeway used for public transportation worldwide and the first in the nation.

A 50-meter-high ropeway will be constructed by the Swiss company Bartholet and National Highway Logistics Private Limited. There will be a total of five stations, with the first one beginning in Varanasi Cantt and the last one ending at Godaulia.
