DC checks Changa-Bhal-Padri road progress

Harvinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner Doda, embarked on a site visit to the Changa-Bhal Padri road, which was approximately 23 kilometres from Gandoh Headquarters. The purpose of the site inspection was to assess the progress of the road construction and facilitate the resolution of pending issues concerning the project. It was reported that construction was underway on a 6-kilometer stretch of the road, with an additional 5.5 kilometres yet to commence, making the total length of the road span 11.50 kilometres.

During the inspection, the DC was accompanied by Xen PWD (R&B) Ashwani Mehngi, Tehsildar Gandoh Muneeb Umar, AEE PWD Gurjeet Singh, and JE Sajad Mir. Following a comprehensive examination of the construction site, the DC instructed the engineers to maintain quality standards and promptly address any obstacles hindering the project.

The DC Doda emphasised the importance of timely completion and quality workmanship in improving connectivity and facilitating socio-economic development in the area. Meanwhile, during the tour, DC Doda, Harvinder Singh, visited the Administrative Block of SDM Gandoh, where he conducted a thorough review of administrative processes and engaged with officers to understand the challenges in effectively delivering public services.

DC also inspected the SDH Gandoh, closely monitoring the attendance of medical personnel and the availability of essential medicines for patients, emphasizing the importance of healthcare accessibility. He inspected Jan Aushadi Kendra OPD immunization wards and vaccination storage areas. He also visited PHC Gandoh and Tehsil Office Gandoh, overseeing their operations and ensuring their effective functionality.

He requested the resurfacing of walls cracked due to earthquakes, the construction of government quarters, and the issuance of rosters for the convenience of the general public. He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of service delivery and urged officers to continue working diligently for the welfare of the community.
