Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh laid the foundation stone for two roads and two panchayat community centres at Dudhli in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency, with works costing Rs 56.8 million (Rs 56.8 mn). He said the state government was committed to connecting all villages to main roads to ensure better transport facilities. The ceremony formed part of a wider push to improve rural infrastructure across the constituency. Officials present were instructed to fast track required clearances and progress monitoring.

The planned Beshak to Tud road will be constructed at a cost of Rs 25.2 million (Rs 25.2 mn), while the Bharari-Ragyan-Kanaina road has been allocated Rs 8.7 million (Rs 8.7 mn). The minister directed officials to issue tenders for both roads soon and to begin construction without delay. Local engineers were asked to prioritise durable surfacing and drainage to reduce maintenance needs. Community leaders were encouraged to coordinate on land formalities so works can proceed on schedule.

He said that in the past three years about Rs 2 billion (Rs 2 bn) has been sanctioned for road construction in the constituency and that formalities, including FRA matters, have been completed for 150 out of 325 roads. About 100 roads in the constituency have been completed and inaugurated, the minister added. The Auckland Tunnel-Kamyana village road has been widened and work is underway to extend the connection to Kadechi via Dummi-Sheeda beyond Kamyana. The objective is to join all village roads to main arteries to improve accessibility.

60 food vans have been supplied to women's groups and women were urged to apply if they wished to start businesses using these vans. To boost tourism a grand park is being developed on Kamyana hilltop at a cost of Rs 70 million (Rs 70 mn), with plans for cottages and tents and associated amenities designed to increase visitor numbers. The minister noted that a plastic management centre will be constructed in Dummi panchayat to strengthen waste handling. Officials were told to integrate these projects with local development plans.
