Four Foot-Overbridges to be Built on Koradi Road in Nagpur

After several complaints from the city and traffic police, MLA Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari have announced that the NHAI will build four foot-overbridges on Koradi Road in Nagpur.

The complaints of the police mainly involved the number of accidents that happened due to high speed driving when pedestrians tried crossing the road between the connecting flyovers. To address this, the overbridges will be built with landing points at key intervals, mostly at the squares, to help pedestrians avoid crossing the mid-surface between the two flyovers.

The NHAI has awarded the project in March to M/s Oriental Nagpur-Betul Highway Limited and approved Rs 71.1 million for it. The locations of the foot-overbridges will be: near Modern School Square, Panjra Bus Stop, Shivaji Maharaj Square (near Chakradhar Kirana Store), and near Koradi Bus Stop.
