Kargil-Zanskar Highway upgrade boosts connectivity

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has revealed the ongoing upgrade of the Kargil-Zanskar intermediate lane along National Highway 301 in Ladakh. In a post on X, Minister Gadkari shared several images, highlighting that the project spans a total length of 31.14 kilometres.

The core objective of this endeavour is to enhance economic growth in the region by establishing a dependable and accessible connection for both commuters and the movement of goods within the interior areas. The upgraded highway's significant feature will be its year-round accessibility, which is poised to greatly benefit the local economy and the inhabitants of the region.
