MP clears Rs.2.6 trillion rural road plan for tribal areas

As per news reports, the Madhya Pradesh government has approved the Rs.2.6 trillion Mukhyamantri Majra-Tola Sadak Yojana to boost rural connectivity in tribal regions. The project targets 30,900 km of roads in two phases, connecting over 20,000 remote habitations with at least 20 homes and 100 residents. Managed by the state’s Rural Road Development Authority, it will prioritise settlements currently lacking all-weather access. Local MPs and MLAs will aid site selection. The Cabinet also approved working women’s hostels in four districts.
