Nashik's outer ring road to be constructed by MSRDC
"The development body has prepared two alignments for the project. One will be finalised after scrutiny by the MSRDC management, "said Bhuse.
Nashik currently has three ring roads built over 20 years ago. Due to the rapid development of the city, that road now stretches within the city and will slowly steep into the fringe areas. Nashik Municipal Corporation first proposed the outer ring road construction and conducted a survey.
Bhusa told a reporter that they aim to complete the ring road before the Kumbh Mela in 2027.
The outer ring road would ease the city's growing traffic congestion and allow heavy vehicles to pass without entering Nashik. The proposed route would be linked to Samruddhi Expressway and Surat-Chennai Expressway. The width and length of the outer ring road from Pathardi to Adgaon via Pimpalgaon Khamb, Vadner, Vihitgaon, Deolali and Panchak would be 60m in width and 26km in length.
