NHAI, AITD sign MoU to promote R&D in highways

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has signed an MoU with the Asian Institute of Transport Development (AITD) in presence of NHAI Chairperson Alka Upadhyaya and other senior officials to promote R&D in highway sector, along with HR development, management of roads, with particular emphasis on improving safety on highways. Activities such as safety audit, workshops, peer reviews, research sharing, data analysis and facilitating awareness campaigns will be undertaken with a view to promote road safety.
