NHIDCL issues a bid for road modernisation in Assam

Under NH(O)-NE, the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) has launched a tender for the EPC mode widening of Assam's Simen Chapori to Nagabang Gamsuk (Package 2) and Tamenglong to Mahur section (NH-137) (Package 8) roads.From km 27.70 (Simen Chapori) to km 55.00 (Nagabang Gamsuk) in Assam, the road will be widening to four lanes with a paved shoulder as part of Package 2.

The cost of the project, including utility relocation, is Rs. 420,74 million, and it will take 30 months to build.

From km 116.48 in the vicinity of Hangrum to km 136.50 in the vicinity of Hejaichak, the project's scope includes widening and upgrading to two lanes along the NH-137 route from Tamenglong to Mahur (Package 8). The total cost of the project, including utility relocation, is Rs 539.81 crore. There are 24 months of construction time.

From the day the project is finished, both packages will need maintenance for another 60 months.

The deadline to submit bids for both is March 13, 2023.
