PMC to construct one more bridge on Mutha River

In the next few years, commuters who are having difficulties on the Sinhagad Route due to the ongoing building of a flyover on the main road should see some relief. The Suncity Road in Hingane Khurd to the Dudhane meadows in Karvenagar will be crossed by a 30-metre wide bridge that will be built by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

According to the city's Development Plan (DP), the local administration has started construction on building the bridge over the Mutha River. It will link the area around Sinhagad Road to Karvenagar and redirect a lot of traffic from Sinhagad Road's main thoroughfare.

The project will likely cost Rs 450 million and be finished 24 months after the work order is issued. The project entails building a 220-metre-long bridge over a river and a 500-metre-long road that will be supported by 16 pillars.
