Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) is adding 144 new Blue Line Express buses to its fleet, with the vehicles to be flagged off by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at Heerapura Bus Terminal on Ajmer Road at 12 pm. Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Dr Premchand Bairwa will attend the launch and senior roadways officials are to be present. The buses feature a seating layout with three seats on one side and two seats on the other, and they will be dispatched to depots across the state after a short prayer ceremony. The addition is intended to increase the availability of buses on major routes and to provide improved travel options.

RSRTC has allotted the 144 Blue Line Express buses to 22 depots, a deployment that will strengthen connectivity between districts and expand intercity services. The corporation said passengers would gain access to newer vehicles designed for comfort and affordability while services on busy corridors are increased. The corporation added that fares would remain competitive as services are expanded.

All buses are BS-VI compliant and are fitted with features intended to enhance the passenger experience, including mobile charging points, LED destination display boards and Electronic Control Units (ECU). Vehicle Location Tracking Systems (VLTS) have been installed to enable real-time monitoring of fleet movements and to support operational oversight. A panic button facility has been provided for the safety of female passengers so that assistance can be summoned immediately in emergencies.

The launch ceremony will mark the start of the new services and the buses will proceed to their allocated depots following formalities. RSRTC indicated that the modern fleet represents part of an ongoing effort to upgrade technology and safety across state roadways operations. Officials said the move aims to offer passengers safer, more comfortable and technology-enabled travel across Rajasthan.
