Refex Industries Limited (RIL) has secured an order for the transportation of pond ash to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Public Works Department (PWD) road construction sites, the company disclosed to stock exchanges under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) listing obligations. The award was reported under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations and was accompanied by an annexure setting out the contract particulars. The contracting party was described as a Maharatna public sector undertaking. The disclosure was signed by the company secretary on behalf of RIL.

The contract is for the domestic transportation of pond ash and is structured for execution over one year, extendable for a further six months. The scope covers movement of material to NHAI and PWD sites and does not involve any international operations. The company stated that the promoters or promoter group do not have any interest in the entity that awarded the contract.

The broad consideration for the order was indicated as approximately Rs 324.5 million (mn) inclusive of goods and services tax, converted from the reported figure of Rs 32.45 Crore. The release defined million (mn) at first mention and used the abbreviation thereafter. The company also confirmed that the contract does not constitute a related party transaction and therefore is not subject to arm's length disclosures. The conversion is intended to facilitate investor understanding of the order size in standard terms.

Refex Industries said it will undertake mobilisation and logistic arrangements to fulfil the contractual obligations within the stipulated period and any approved extension. The company secretary filed the disclosure with exchanges and requested dissemination on the respective platforms. Operational execution will be aligned with statutory compliances and reporting requirements. The company indicated contractual performance will follow applicable environmental and safety regulations.
