Rs 16.45 billion Plan for Expressway Link

The Indian government has approved a Rs 16.45 bn project to enhance connectivity between the Yamuna Expressway and the Delhi-Agra Highway, ensuring faster and smoother travel between the two major routes. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will oversee the project, aimed at reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.

This initiative involves new road linkages, widening of existing stretches, and construction of flyovers and underpasses to facilitate seamless movement of vehicles. The project is expected to boost trade, tourism, and regional development, benefiting thousands of daily commuters and freight transporters.

Improved connectivity will also support the upcoming infrastructure projects along the Yamuna Expressway, including logistics hubs, smart cities, and industrial corridors. The development aligns with the government’s vision for enhanced highway networks, promoting economic growth and ease of travel.

Once completed, the project will significantly cut travel time, enhance road safety, and strengthen Delhi-NCR’s transport infrastructure, making road travel between Delhi and Agra faster and more efficient.
