The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced temporary diversions from July one due to cement concrete (CC) road-laying work between OP Chatrinaka and the Kandikal Gate flyover, covering about 225 metres. The work will require closure of lanes and phased traffic management until completion. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes and plan journeys to avoid delays. The measure aims to maintain safety for workers and road users.

Vehicles travelling from Nallavagu Graveyard towards the Kandikal Gate flyover will be diverted at the Nallavagu Graveyard U-turn towards Old Gutta, while traffic from Lal Darwaja towards OP Chatrinaka will be routed via Baba Barlane and Engine Bowli. Similarly, vehicles originating in Gowlipura will be directed towards Lal Darwaja and those approaching from Uppuguda will be diverted at the Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple towards Gowlipura. The diversions have been mapped to preserve through traffic and allow uninterrupted progress of the road-laying crew. Traffic marshals and signage will be deployed to guide motorists at key junctions.

The police have indicated that the measures will remain in force until the completion of the work and that timings will vary according to weather and contractor schedules. Motorists using the corridor are asked to follow diversion signs and obey directions from traffic personnel to reduce congestion and ensure safety. Public transport services will also adapt routes temporarily and commuters are advised to check schedules before travel. Emergency access will be maintained and priority will be given to ambulances and other essential services.
