The Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory today regarding the construction of a 4-lane flyover with a paved shoulder configuration and a service road, stretching from the 4th Tawi Bridge near Bhagwati Nagar Chowk to Bakshi Nagar Canal Head.

In the advisory, the general public was informed that construction work had begun at Canal Head and would be completed within the next 15 days.

To prevent traffic congestion at Canal Head, there will be certain on-ground restrictions and diversions for the next 15 days.

No traffic will be allowed to move from Canal Head to the 4th Tawi Bridge Bhagwati Nagar. However, vehicles will be permitted to travel from Bhagwati Nagar to Canal Head and further towards Bakshi Nagar Pulli/ Talab Tillo.

Vehicles coming from the Flyover/below Flyover towards Canal Head will be diverted from Steel Bridge Canal Head towards Science College Jewel and then towards their destination.

In case of traffic congestion at Canal Head during peak hours, traffic will be diverted from Bakshi Nagar Pulli towards Maheshpora Chowk and then towards their destination.

The public is requested to cooperate with the Traffic Police/Local Police and plan their travel accordingly to reach their destinations.
