VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) and Rosmerta Auto Recycling Pvt Ltd (RARPL) have entered into a strategic partnership to facilitate the authorised scrapping and recycling of end-of-life (ELV) commercial vehicles across the National Capital Region (NCR).

The collaboration will provide Eicher Trucks and Buses dealers and customers with access to a structured, transparent and compliant vehicle scrapping process. It aims to help commercial vehicle owners retire ageing trucks and buses through authorised channels while supporting fleet renewal and responsible resource recovery.

The partnership comes as India’s formal vehicle scrappage ecosystem continues to expand, with more than 4.3 lakh vehicles already scrapped through Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs). It also aligns with the Government of India’s Vehicle Scrappage Policy and the evolving Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework for ELVs.

Under the partnership, Rosmerta Auto Recycling will assist Eicher dealers and customers with registration and documentation under the PARIVARTAN scheme, digital Certificate of Deposit generation, scientific dismantling and depollution, EPR credit generation and transfer where applicable, and regulatory documentation.

The initiative will also support the recovery and processing of steel, aluminium and other valuable automotive materials for reuse and recycling. By directing ELVs through authorised RVSFs, the companies aim to shift vehicle disposal away from fragmented and informal channels towards a documented and environmentally responsible process.

The partnership is expected to strengthen the formal ELV recycling ecosystem by bringing together an original equipment manufacturer, dealers, vehicle owners and an authorised recycler to support vehicle lifecycle management and automotive circularity.
