Versova-Bandra Sea Link to be Ready by July 2027

As per news reports, the Versova-Bandra Sea Link (VBSL) is scheduled for completion by July 2027, with 25 per cent of work done. The 12.4 km, `181.2 billion project aims to cut peak-hour travel from Versova to Bandra to under 15 minutes. Cost escalation of Rs.67.88 billion was due to casting yard relocation and additional works. Key connectors include Carter Road, Juhu, and Versova with a cable-stayed bridge. Once operational, VBSL is expected to ease pressure on SV Road, Link Road, and the Western Express Highway while offering environmental and economic benefits.
