Vijayawada-Hyderabad Highway to be Upgraded to Six Lanes

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced plans to upgrade the Vijayawada-Hyderabad National Highway to a six-lane road. This significant expansion aims to accommodate increasing traffic, enhance safety, and improve connectivity between the two major cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The current four-lane highway has been struggling with traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours and holiday seasons. The upgrade to six lanes is expected to alleviate these issues by providing additional capacity for vehicles, reducing travel time, and enhancing the overall driving experience. This project is part of the government's broader initiative to improve national highway infrastructure and support economic growth by facilitating smoother transportation of goods and passengers. The expansion is also anticipated to boost local economies along the route by improving access to markets and services.
