Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, conducted an inspection of the Sahibabad station, a vital component of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project, on Thursday. This visit came in anticipation of the upcoming inauguration of the 17-kilometer priority section in Ghaziabad, a significant milestone that will make it the country's first operational RRTS stretch for passengers. However, the state's information department has not yet provided a specific date for the inauguration.

Earlier this week, General VK Singh (retired), the Minister of State for Road and Highways and Civil Aviation, also paid a visit to the site and hinted that the section's inauguration might coincide with the commencement of the Navratri festival, which begins on Sunday.

During his inspection, Chief Minister Adityanath not only visited the proposed inaugural site but also directed officials to ensure the timely completion of all pending works. Additionally, he paid a visit to the RRTS station in Sahibabad, where he received a comprehensive presentation on the project's status. Adityanath expressed his pride on behalf of Ghaziabad residents, acknowledging that the inauguration would be conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The impending inauguration of the Ghaziabad priority section signifies a substantial leap forward in improving transportation infrastructure in the region, promising enhanced connectivity and convenience for the public.
