Afcons Infra Emerges Lowest Bidder for Rs 68-Bn Croatia Railway Project

Afcons Infrastructure, part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, has been declared the lowest bidder by HŽ Infrastruktura d.o.o. (HŽ Infrastructure) for a major railway construction and rehabilitation project in Croatia.

The contract involves reconstructing existing tracks and building a second line on the Dugo Selo–Novska section, along with overhead electrification, signalling, and telecommunication systems. Valued at Rs 68 billion, the project will follow a BOQ/item rate format and be completed in 72 months.

Separately, Afcons had earlier secured a Rs 1.75-billion civil contract from Reliance Industries for structural works at Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Afcons is targeting 20–25 per cent revenue growth in FY26, backed by an order pipeline worth Rs 300–350 billion. The company is also bidding for a large project in Dubai.
