A significant makeover is planned for Andheri Station. The Railway Land Development Authority is putting the finishing touches on a concept plan to renovate the station, with an emphasis on modernising infrastructure, adding top-notch passenger amenities, and putting policies in place to relieve congestion for quicker commuter dispersal.

Why Andheri Station?
One of the busiest stations on Western Railway (WR), it serves two important railway lines: Western, which connects Churchgate with Dahanu, and Harbour, which travels in the direction of CSMT or Panel.

The Andheri train station is to the east of the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro Line 1 station. The station, which serves both suburban and long-distance trains, has a daily passenger load of 4.2 lakh people.
