Arya Communications Wins Rs 354 Million Mumbai Metro Contract

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that Arya Communications and Electronics Services Pvt Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder for the contract to supply the radio communication system for Mumbai Metro Line 9 (Dahisar East to Rai) and Line 7A (Andheri East to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport), including the Dongri Depot. The contract is valued at Rs 354 million.

The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the integrated radio communication system across both corridors and the depot.

Arya Communications was the sole bidder for the project. The technical bid was opened on 19 September, where the company met all qualification criteria, followed by the financial bid on 24 October. The contract is expected to be formally awarded to the company soon.

Mumbai Metro Line 7A is a 3.17-kilometre extension of the existing Line 7 corridor, connecting Andheri East to CSMIA, providing crucial last-mile connectivity to Mumbai’s international airport. Meanwhile, Line 9 is a 13.58-kilometre elevated extension from Dahisar East to Rai Village in Mira-Bhayandar, aimed at improving metro access for the city’s rapidly expanding northern suburbs.

The Dongri Depot, shared between Lines 7A and 9, will be responsible for operations, maintenance, and stabling activities to ensure efficient service management across the extended network.

According to tender documents (Tender ID: 2025_DMRC_864748_1, Tender No. MS-06R), the project’s completion period is 30 months from the issuance of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

The initiative represents another step in enhancing Mumbai Metro’s communications infrastructure, improving operational reliability and passenger connectivity across key corridors linking the city’s western and northern regions.
