Aurotoshi Commissions Platform Screen Gates For Mumbai Metro

Aurotoshi, an Aurionpro Group company, has commissioned platform screen gates for Mumbai Metro Line 2B Phase 1 following an inauguration in early April 2026. The Phase one corridor spanning five point four km was opened by state leadership in the presence of senior officials. The delivery covers the elevated section and is intended to improve safety and passenger flow.

As a strategic sub?contractor to Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd., Aurotoshi installed, tested and commissioned half?height platform screen gates at three stations: BSNL, Mankhurd and Mandale. The project is the company’s first entry into the platform screen door and gate market for Indian metro systems and demonstrates capability in safety critical transit infrastructure.

The gates are designed to enhance commuter safety, regulate platform airflow and streamline boarding, contributing to a more reliable transit experience for Mumbai passengers. Teams applied systems engineering and quality assurance measures to meet performance and interoperability standards set by the original equipment manufacturer and local authorities.

Aurotoshi said the partnership with Zhuzhou CRRC was instrumental in delivery and helped set benchmarks for safety and efficiency. Aurionpro Solutions Limited has secured the platform screen door contract for Mumbai Metro Line five from Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, reinforcing the group’s expanding role in urban transit projects.

Founded in 1992 and merged with Aurionpro in 2021, Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems Pvt. Ltd. operates from a 50,000 plus sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad and serves three core verticals: industrial automation, public safety automation and travel and mobility. The company positions its work within Make in India and Make for the World initiatives and will continue supporting the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and partners in building safer urban mobility.
