BMRCL Receives Metro Rail Coaches for Yellow Line Operations
In a statement, BMRCL described this development as a significant milestone in the city’s metro expansion, bringing the corporation closer to operationalising the Yellow Line. The corporation also mentioned that another set of three metro cars is expected to arrive in the city between May 10 and May 15.
BMRCL noted that the addition of these new trains is part of its ongoing efforts to expedite the commissioning of the Yellow Line. It stated that the aim is to enhance connectivity and improve urban transit for commuters by bringing the line into service at the earliest possible date.
The Yellow Line stretches from RV College to Bommasandra, near Electronic City. Although the line has been structurally ready for several months, it has yet to commence operations. The latest delivery of metro cars marks continued progress towards making the line functional and improving the overall efficiency of the city’s public transportation network.
