Ceigall India Emerges L1 for Jaipur Metro Phase 2 Civil Works

Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) has declared Ceigall India as the lowest bidder (L1) for the first civil construction contract of Jaipur Metro Phase 2, marking a key milestone in the expansion of the city’s rapid transit network.

JMRC had issued the tender for the first civil package of Phase 2 in October 2025. Technical bids were opened on December 15, 2025, with as many as 13 infrastructure companies submitting their proposals. Following a detailed technical evaluation conducted on January 16, 2026, all qualified bidders progressed to the financial bid stage, which was opened on the same day.

Based on the financial evaluation, Ceigall India emerged as the L1 bidder with a quoted value of Rs 8.57 billion. The next lowest bids were submitted by Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon at Rs 9.54 billion and J Kumar Infraprojects at Rs 9.55 billion. Other major bidders included Ashoka Buildcon, Rail Vikas Nigam, HG Infra Engineering, Afcons Infrastructure, Larsen & Toubro and Kalpataru Projects International. The contract duration for the package has been fixed at 1,020 days.

The scope of work includes the design and construction of an elevated viaduct along with 10 elevated stations—Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate and Pinjrapole Gaushala—excluding architectural finishing. The alignment will run from chainage (-) 600 metres to 11,400 metres and also includes a spur line towards the Phase 2 depot of the Jaipur Metro MRTS.

Jaipur Metro Phase 2 comprises a single north–south corridor stretching 42.8 km from Prahladpura to Todi Mod, covering 36 stations. Of these, 34 stations will be elevated, while two will be underground, significantly enhancing north–south connectivity across Jaipur.
