CG Power Partners With Flanders for US Rail Expansion

CG DE SUB, LLC (CG USA), a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, India, has signed an agreement with Flanders Electric Motors Service, LLC (FLANDERS), a global leader in electrical rotating equipment and technology solutions. The partnership aims to combine local capabilities with CG’s global expertise to deliver competitively priced, high-quality products and services with faster turnaround times for the US railway sector.
The United States has a vast rail network spanning approximately 140,000 miles—three times larger than Indian Railways—and a strong demand for reliable traction motor replacement and refurbishment solutions, primarily driven by Class I railroads. CG sees significant growth potential in this market and is leveraging FLANDERS’ strengths in rapid throughput, quality assurance, and dependable service to enhance local engagement and operational efficiency.
Under the agreement, both companies will jointly scale capabilities and expand within the US rail market, focusing on technical excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Mr Amar Kaul, Global CEO and Managing Director of CG, said, “Our association with FLANDERS complements our world-class manufacturing capabilities, enabling us to offer timely and cost-effective solutions to US rail operators. Together, we aim to redefine service standards in the railway sector.”
Kim Weninger, CEO of FLANDERS, added, “Partnering with CG to enter the rail sector aligns perfectly with our legacy in heavy industry and our growing Flanders Motors Business.”
With over eight decades of industry leadership, CG continues to innovate in the railway sector, while FLANDERS brings extensive expertise in motor technology. The collaboration marks a strategic phase of growth for CG in North America and for FLANDERS in the traction motor business, positioning both companies to play a leading role in shaping the future of rail transportation.
