Colossus Infra Secures Rs 212 Million Nagpur Metro Control Contract

Colossus Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. has secured the contract to provide train operation and station control services for the Nagpur Metro Rail Project for a period of two years (730 days). The contract, awarded by the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro), is valued at Rs 212 million.
Maha-Metro issued a tender with a two-year deadline. Technical bids were opened on 26 May, with two firms submitting proposals. Following the technical evaluation on 16 July, JMD Consultants’ bid was rejected. The financial bids were then opened on the same day, confirming Colossus Infra Projects as the lowest bidder.
The Nagpur Metro Rail Project comprises two phases. Phase 1, which is fully operational, covers 38.215 km across two corridors and was developed at a cost exceeding Rs 8.65 billion. Phase 2, currently under construction, spans 43.8 km and includes four extensions of the existing corridors.
Recently, Maha-Metro also invited bids for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system contract for Phase 2, with a contract value of Rs 1.54 billion.
