The Delhi Development Authority's (DDA) planning body has given its green light to several pivotal projects aimed at bolstering the city's transportation infrastructure. These decisions encompass multifaceted plans for metro station improvements at Tis Hazari, Rithala, and Seelampur, along with an extensive walkability plan for the areas surrounding prominent landmarks, including Purana Qila, the ITPO complex, and Delhi Zoo.

The multi-modal integration plans for these metro stations entail a comprehensive approach, encompassing interconnected street networks, street design enhancements, signalized and grade-separated street crossings, strategically placed model interchange locations, and provisions for parking facilities catering to cycles, buses, auto rickshaws, and private cars. These plans also incorporate on-street parking arrangements, the establishment of public toilets, improved lighting, designated hawker zones, enhanced signages, street maps, and an array of public transport options, all aimed at ensuring a seamless last-mile connectivity experience.
