Under the DFCCIL projects, a corridor spanning from Sahnewal to Pilkhani is currently under construction within the Ambala division.

The dedicated freight corridor and security team conducted a thorough inspection of the entire railway area, focusing on the goods train operations. The goods train efficiently covered a distance of approximately 175 km in just four hours, maintaining a speed of 42 km per hour. This marked a significant improvement in safety and speed compared to previous operations.

During the inspection, technical deficiencies were promptly addressed and any issues were resolved. DFCCIL officials are pleased with this accomplishment, recognising it as a pivotal moment.

The inauguration of the Dedicated Freight Corridor ensures smooth operations for Mail Express trains, allowing passengers to reach their destinations without any disruptions. This development promises a safer, faster, and more convenient travel experience for the public.
