Ernakulam Duronto To Get 3 More Sleeper Coaches

Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar announced on Sunday that the central government has approved the addition of three more sleeper coaches to the Hazrat Nizamuddin–Ernakulam Duronto Express. This move addresses a long-standing demand from regular travellers on the busy route.
In a Facebook post thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval, Chandrasekhar noted that the inclusion of the new coaches would significantly enhance ticket availability and improve passenger convenience.
“With this approval, the train will now operate with a total of 22 modern Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches from 2 August,” he stated. The upgraded configuration is expected to ease travel for thousands of passengers on one of South India’s high-demand train routes.
