GPT Infraprojects has secured a railway signalling contract worth Rs. 1.15 bn, including GST, through its wholly owned subsidiary Alcon Builders and Engineers. The order was awarded by the Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer’s Office of Northeast Frontier Railway in Guwahati.

The contract covers the provision of Electronic Interlocking systems at ten stations on the HDN/HUN route in the Katihar Division. The stations are Adina, Azamnagar Road, Khurial, Mangurjan, Tinmilehat, Chatterhat, Sudhani, Telta, Panjipara and Gaisal.

The project is classified as a signalling work for Indian Railways and has to be completed within 730 days from the Appointed Date. The contract value excluding GST is Rs. 973.1 mn. GPT Infraprojects said the order is entirely domestic and does not involve its promoters or related parties.

The award follows the company’s intimation of its lowest-bidder status on 24 August 2026. With the contract, its outstanding order book has increased to Rs. 44 bn, while total order inflow for FY27 has reached Rs. 2.27 bn.

GPT Infraprojects, the flagship company of the GPT Group, operates in railway infrastructure and concrete sleeper manufacturing. Its activities include civil and infrastructure projects such as large railway bridges and road-over-bridges, along with the production and supply of concrete sleepers from plants in India and Africa. The company disclosed the order under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations on 9 September 2026.
