Jammu-bound train loco detaches in Punjab

The locomotive of a train bound for Jammu separated from its coaches in Sirhind, Punjab. They mentioned that the incident occurred subsequent to the departure of the train from the Sirhind railway station, and the locomotive proceeded for three kilometres without its coaches.

The officials stated that the locomotive's driver was alerted by keymen, who were working on a section of the Delhi-Katra railway route.

They indicated that the detachment likely occurred due to loose coupling.

As per the officials, the locomotive returned, the coaches were reattached, and the train resumed its journey.

Naveen Kumar, the Divisional Railway Manager of Northern Railway, mentioned that an investigation would be conducted into the incident.
