Karnataka Minister MB Patil announces key railway project updates

Karnataka Minister MB Patil shared important updates on the state's railway projects, focusing on the progress of two suburban railway lines and plans for improved connectivity.

Minister Patil highlighted the government's commitment to strengthening the Hasan-Bengaluru railway double link line, citing its importance for state industries. He announced that two suburban railway lines, covering 75 kilometers, are slated for completion by December 2026.

"We had a meeting today regarding state railway projects, including the suburban railway, which involves cost-sharing between Karnataka and the Government of India, as well as other projects with a 50-50 funding partnership," Patil said during a press briefing in Bengaluru. (ET)
