MahaMetro Finalises Sitabuldi–Koradi Line for Nagpur Phase 3

MahaMetro has finalised a new corridor connecting Sitabuldi and Koradi under Nagpur Metro Phase 3, as part of the city’s Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP). The decision was taken during a high-level meeting on 27 July 2025 attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and senior officials.

CMP Phase 1 proposes two High Capacity Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) corridors with an estimated cost of Rs 8,625 crore: Sitabuldi–Koradi (11.5 km) and Mankapur Chowk–Rachana Junction (25 km). Based on ridership and traffic assessments, the Sitabuldi–Koradi line has been prioritised.

Officials estimate that by 2054 the corridor will serve around 1.47 lakh commuters daily. Plans for Phase IV are also under consideration, though details of the route are yet to be revealed.
