MMRC, Cityflo Launch Feeder Buses For Mumbai Metro Line 3

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has partnered with mobility platform Cityflo to introduce dedicated feeder bus services for commuters using the newly inaugurated Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line.

Initially, the service will operate around three major metro stations — Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). At BKC, the feeder route will cover key destinations such as the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Jio Garden, One BKC, and the Family Court.

The initiative aims to bridge critical first and last mile gaps, improving accessibility between metro stations and major business and residential hubs.

In Worli, the feeder service will connect commuters to stops near Century Mills, One Indiabulls Centre, Kamala Mills, and Peninsula Corporate Park. The CSMT route will extend to Old Custom House, Lions Gate, SP Mukherjee Chowk, KC College, and Churchgate Metro Station.

The buses will run every 10 minutes during peak hours to minimise waiting times. Fares start at Rs 29 per ride, with a monthly pass priced at Rs 499 for frequent users. Ticketing and route information have been fully integrated into the Cityflo and MetroConnect3 mobile apps, enabling a seamless and cashless travel experience.

“Metro Line 3 marks a new era in Mumbai’s public transport. Reliable first and last mile options are essential for seamless travel. The Cityflo feeder service extends the metro’s comfort and efficiency right to people’s doorsteps,” said R. Ramana, Director (Planning & Real Estate Development/NFBR), MMRC.

Cityflo CEO Jerin Venad added, “We’re proud to collaborate with MMRC to build an integrated mobility ecosystem for Mumbai. These feeder routes will encourage citizens to adopt sustainable, shared, and technology-enabled modes of travel.”
