MMRDA Awards Signage Contract To CBM Industrie For Line 2B

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has awarded a signage contract for Mumbai Metro Line 2B to CBM Industrie Private Limited. The contract covers commissioning of station elements, signage and graphics for 13 elevated stations and carries a value of Rs 278.8 million (Rs 278.8 mn). The authority has set a completion period of 15 months for the works. The award follows a formal tender process under tender number MMRDA/MPIU/ML2B/CA-306.

The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of station elements, signage and graphics for the elevated stations listed on Line 2B. Stations in the contract are ESIC Nagar, Prem Nagar, Indira Nagar, Nanavati Hospital, Khira Nagar, Saraswat Nagar, Bandra, ITO, IL&FS, MTNL, SG Barve Marg, Kurla East and the electrical and engineer handling section of the corridor. The contractor will be responsible for delivery to strict quality and safety standards.

Line 2B runs from D.N. Nagar to Mandale and has been identified as a priority corridor within the Mumbai Metro programme. Integration work linking Line 2B with Line 9 was completed in April 2026, expanding network connectivity and interchange options for commuters. The signage contract is part of finishing works that enable stations to open with guiding information and visual wayfinding.

Officials said that improved station signage and graphics will enhance passenger navigation and the overall user experience across the corridor. The Mumbai Metro network has expanded to a length of 101 km including the Navi Mumbai metro and continues to work on several extensions and new corridors. Implementation of the contract is expected to support timely commissioning of the completed stations and to standardise visual elements across the system.
