NCRTC invites bids for co-branding rights for 5 stations

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited bids for exclusive semi-naming and co-branding rights for five stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, according to a statement released on Friday. This initiative is intended to enhance passenger experience and convenience, while also generating Non-Fare Box Revenue to help cover the operational costs of the RRTS corridor.

The statement detailed that the five stations available for semi-naming and co-branding rights are Duhai, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North, and Meerut South. Brands that secure these rights will be able to prefix or suffix their names to the station names, apply their brand colours to station walls, hoardings, and entry/exit points, and make use of both bare and built-up retail spaces.

The branding opportunities will extend to station interiors at both the concourse and platform levels, as well as to the exteriors, including columns and piers on either side of the station, which will be visible to road traffic and pedestrians. Additionally, the NCRTC will include in-train audio announcements with the co-branded station names to further increase brand interaction with daily commuters. Brand logos will also be displayed prominently on station maps, and mobile canopies may be set up in unpaid areas for experiential marketing.

The statement noted that the semi-naming rights for Guldhar RRTS station have already been acquired under this initiative, and it was mentioned that over 2.2 million passengers have already travelled on the Namo Bharat trains. Tender documents for acquiring semi-naming rights are available on the Central Procurement Portal (CPP) and the NCRTC's official website, with a pre-bid meeting scheduled for 20 August at 3 pm via video conferencing.

It was further mentioned that a 34-kilometre section between Sahibabad and Modi Nagar North, which includes eight elevated stations on this pioneering corridor, is currently operational for the public.
