NCRTC Invites Bids For Commercial Spaces At Ghaziabad Station

National Capital Region Transport Corporation has invited bids to license property development areas for commercial use at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station on the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor, as part of efforts to enhance passenger amenities and improve travel convenience.

Under the initiative, a range of commuter-focused facilities, including rooftop restaurants, cafes, food outlets and other commercial establishments, will be developed within the station’s property development area. The move is aimed at creating a more comfortable and integrated travel experience while strengthening non-fare revenue streams.

Through a competitive tender process, NCRTC is offering around 18,578 square metres of space at the Ghaziabad station on a licence basis against a fixed rent. The licence period for these commercial spaces has been set at 25 years. Interested bidders can submit applications through the e-tendering process, with the deadline fixed for 4 February 2026.

As per the tender provisions, commercial areas will be available across multiple levels of the station. This includes about 4,229 square metres on the ground floor, 11,914 square metres across upper levels one and two, and 2,435 square metres within Core-A floors, covering the upper and lower property development levels as well as the concourse terrace.

NCRTC said the initiative is intended to transform station precincts into people-friendly, vibrant and modern commercial hubs by encouraging participation from local vendors, retailers and service providers. In addition to improving public convenience, the development is expected to generate employment and support long-term revenue growth through non-fare sources.

The designated spaces can be used for shops, kiosks and service establishments catering to commuters and nearby residents. Potential facilities include fine-dining and rooftop restaurants, cafes, hotels, showrooms, banquet halls, pharmacies, medical and wellness centres, and outlets showcasing regional products. With these integrated services, passengers will be able to access dining, shopping, healthcare and accommodation within a single complex.

Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station is located in a densely populated urban area and lies close to the city’s main bus terminal, ensuring strong daily footfall. Residential neighbourhoods such as Patel Nagar, Raj Nagar, Arya Nagar and Kavi Nagar, along with nearby commercial and educational hubs, add to its appeal as an emerging lifestyle and commercial destination.

The station offers seamless connectivity with the Delhi Metro and other transport modes and forms part of the 82-kilometre Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor, which links major centres across the National Capital Region. With rising ridership and multimodal integration, the station is expected to develop into a significant centre for commercial activity over the long term.
