Parliamentary Panel Reviews Energy Conservation Efforts

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy met to review energy generation and conservation, with members requesting detailed state-wise data on generation volumes and associated carbon emissions. The committee chairperson Shrirang Appa Chandu Barne indicated that the panel sought information on energy produced, measures taken to conserve energy and the carbon generated in the process. Members also asked which states were leading and which were lagging in conservation efforts.
