Patna Metro advances with underground routes and interchange stations
The Patna Metro will consist of two corridors. Currently, construction is underway for Corridor One between Saguna Mod and Patliputra Railway Station, as well as from Mithapur to Khemnichal. For Corridor 2, work is in progress between Rajendra Nagar Terminal and Malahi Pakdi. In Corridor 1, the metro stations at Danapur, Saguna Mod, RPS Mod, Mithapur, Ramkrishna Nagar, Jaganpura, and Khemnichak will be elevated. In Corridor 2, the elevated stations will include Patliputra Bus Terminal, Zero Mile, Bhootnath Road, Khemnichak, and Malahi Pakdi. The majority of Patna Metro stations will be constructed underground rather than being elevated.
In Corridor 1, underground metro stations will be built at Patna Junction, Vidyut Bhawan, Vikas Bhawan, Zoo, Raja Bazar, and Rukanpura. In Corridor Two, the underground stations will be located at Patna Junction, Akashwani, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, Patna University, Moin ul Haq Stadium, and Rajendra Nagar. The intersection of the two corridors will occur at Khemnichak and Patna Junction, serving as the interchange stations of the Patna metro.
