Pune's comprehensive 30-year transport plan envisions a major expansion of the metro network and public bus services.
The proposed metro system will cover 276 kilometers, linking Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and surrounding towns.
Key highlights include the addition of 10 new metro corridors, a three-phase implementation strategy, and an estimated investment of Rs 1,264.98 billion.
The plan also integrates suburban connectivity with Pune city. Two metro routes—Vanaz to Chandni Chowk and Ramwadi to Wagholi—have already been submitted for central government approval.
